Avuvi Miflissor
“Maskie”
From the owner's application: Miflissor (Maskie) is a proportionate girl and overall small. She is very attached to her people and to the other African girls and gets along with all dogs and people. She shows a submissive affect to people which is misleading. She is the little quiet dog that makes off with the big chunk of cheese while the other dogs are fighting for it. She never is submissive to any other dog but isn't assertive either. She just goes her own way.
She is quick to understand what is wanted and obedient, and accepting of strangers including the vet. She was silent until the year she and her walking partner Minhoudo were surprised and let out quite lovely yodels. She gets a lot more free and alert when she thinks no one is watching. She isn't overly active and loves to sit outside and watch the world.
Her nickname "Maskie" set her apart from the other red dogs in her import group. Most of her mask marks have faded but she has kept the black eyelashes. She has a rounder head and smaller ears than the other two dogs submitted with her. Her coat is hard and very short. Her colors are well demarcated and she has a pretty orange-red color. Her eyes are dark brown and smallish with almond shape. Her tail comes up when she alerts and curves over to nearly touch her back, and she has cute wrinkle when alert.
Miflissor was named in a ceremony in Benin and is Fon for "Don't give up on the future."
