Elle du Congo
“Elle”
From the importer's application: Elle was located February 2018 in Democratic Republic of Congo 4 kms south of Dungu in Nadogolo Village. At that time I met her, she was a young puppy living in a typical Congolese settlement.
Elle is a female Basenji who is dark red in colour. She has a small white blaze on her chest, with larger white socks on the front legs and smaller white socks on the back legs, and a small white tip on her tail. Her coat is short and close to the skin, with a bit more length around the withers.
Elle has fine wrinkle, dark almond eyes with a black nose, and her head and muzzle are nicely proportioned. Her feet are small and compact. While her ears are nicely hooded they are a little wide at the bottom. Elle carries her tail in an open curl over her back, or she will hold it high in the air or will drop it sometimes. While she is shorter in the foreleg, overall she presents an effortless gait with a level top line, and a pleasing balance to the eye.
Elle is very independent and stubborn, but friendly, and she exhibits typical Basenji personality traits.
