Our thanks to former member, Monica Frelow, for sharing the photograph (below) with us. Monica explains, "This photograph was taken by Dr. Lawrence Frank around 3 October 1980. The locality is a partially dried up tributary of the Omo River, 175 km north of Lake Turkana, Ethiopia. The dog is living with the Nomadic Bodi tribe, mainly pastoral, growing sorghum on river banks. The area is reached by floating 350 miles down river from near the city of Abati. It's about a two week trip. The dog was the only one seen with this group. Lawrence felt they may be killed for meat . . ."
