"Native bred approximately in 1959, owned by Roslyn Sadler whilst she was on missionary work with her husband in Liberia and brought down to Zambia (Northern Rhodesia) on [their] retirement." -Elspet Ford. Kogi did not leave Africa but was bred with dogs which had been brought to Africa and his descendents were among dogs who came to England with Elspet Ford and to Gwen Stanich in the USA.
