Avongara Nguba
“Peanut”
From the owner's application: Peanut was found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with her tricolor sister in February 2011. The villagers informed Michael Work that her mother died when she was three days old, and she was raised on palm oil. She became part of my family on March 3, 2011 when I retrieved her from Mike's care and trotted her home to meet my pack. Since then, she has become an integral part of our family. She has never met a stranger, neither human nor canine.
She enjoys romping in the fields chasing other basenjis, or jumping up to give kisses. She is very vocal, loves to tell everyone else what to do, and loves to get the rest of the crew to join her in a good baroo. Peanut is also very inquisitive, intelligent, and alert. She is a joy to live with and our home would not be complete without her.
